classes

there are lots of classes at hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. like transfiguration, potions, care of magical creatures, herbology, history of magic, muggle studies, charms, defense against the dark arts, arthmincy, astronomy, and divination.
transfiguration-this class is taught by professor mcgonagull. transfiguration is when a witch or wizard transfigures an animal or an object into something else. there are spells to say to turn one thing into another.
potions-this class is tauhght by professor snape. potions class is when you make potions in cauldrons. there are lots of different ingrediants to put into the cauldron and the potions.
care of magical creatures-this class is taught by hagrid. care of magical creatures is learning about the magical creatures in the wizarding world and how to care for them.
herbology-this class is taught by professor sprout. in herbology you learn about magical plats in the wizarding world and you learn how to take care of them.
history of magic-this class taught by professor binns. in this class you learn history of magic and history of things and things that happened in the wizard world.
muggle studies-this class is taught by professor burbage. in this class you learn about muggles. its the study of muggles and you learn how they live and things about the muggle world.
charms-this class is taught by professor flitwick. in this class you learn charms. charms are spells that can help you do alot of things. there are lots of charms and you can do lots of things with charms because theres alot of charms in the magic world.
defense against the dark arts-this class was never taught by one person for more than one year. the teachers that have taught defense against the dark arts were professor quirell, professor lockhart, professor lupin, professor moody, professor umbridge, professor snape, and professor carrow. in this class you learn how to defend yourself against the dark arts and fight the dark arts.
arithmany-this class is taught by professor vector. in this class you learn divination by numbers and learn ancient Greek isopsephy or Hebrew/Aramaic gematria, as adapted to the Latin alphabet.
astronomy-this class is taught by professor sinirsta. in this class you learn about natural science that deals with the study of celestial objects (such as stars, planets, comets, nebuae, star clusters and galaxies)
divination-this class is taught by professor trelawney. in this class you learn about how to prodict the future. you learn about how to look into a glass ball and make prochcy. its the study of phsicic things.

Lord Voldemort

Lord Voldemort is one of the most important characters because evrything that is happening is because of him. Voldemort is accualy a man named tom riddle, who was a wizard and then decided to become evil and change his name. he was so powerful he could not be defeated. that was until he faced harry potter. the night he killed harrys parents he turned to kill harry after killing his mom. when he shot the killing curse atharry the curse rebounded and hit voldemort. he was barley alive, almost less than a soul and had no human body, but he was not dead. he fleed. fleed the country and went into hidding. no one had seen him in 13 years until he came back, gained human form, and was more powerful than before. when he came back to life from harrys blood, harry so narowly escaped voldemorts clutches and warned everyone voldemort was back. but sadly not many people believed him. his friends of course and a few other people but no one else did, considering the minister of magic told everyone it wasnt true. until voldemort shows up a year later at the ministry of magic and his death eaters battle 6 15 year olds, harry, ron, hermione, ginny, neville, and luna. and then voldemort shows up and battles dumbledore, which brings everyone to the minisrty and everyone sees sense and finds out voldemort is back but he gets away. then voldemort got so powerful that he practicly took over the wizard world and the ministry goes agasint harry and anyone who is on harrys side. they try hunting harry down and everything that was once good is evil and everything is turned around to terrible things. while all this is happening harry ron and hermione are out searchig for horcruxes and when they go to hogwarts a war breaks out and people are dying and hogwarts is getting ripped apart and theres lots of things that happen at the war but theres to much deatil and im not gonna say it all and then voldemort dies!!

The Dursleys

The Dursleys are the meanest muggles ever they have raised harry in a horrible way luckily he gets to leave them for a whole year... but has to come back in the summers. once they locked him in his room with three locks and a cage around his window and didn't feed him for almost a week, but Ron saves him. I'm glad harry didn't have to stay with them forever.

The Houses

There is four houses in hogwarts that students can be sorted into by the sorting hat that looks at there thoughts and picks the house they will live in. the four houses are named after the four founders of the school: Godric Gryffinfor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. Gryffindors house colors are scarlet and gold, there house animal is a lion, and the head of house is Mcgonagull. Hufflepuffs house colors are black and yellow, there animal is a badger, and the head of house is Sprout. Ravenclaws house colors are blue and black, there house animal is an eagle, and the head of house is Flitwick. Slytherins house colors are green and silver, there house animal is a serpent, and the head of house is Snape.

Dobby

Dobby the house elf is like my favorite character. house elves are slaves for wizard families and can only be freed when there master presents them with clothes. dobby is the cutest thing. when he first was introduced in the 2nd book, he had come to warn harry about the danger that was about to strike Hogwarts. and strike it does. in the end of that book harry frees dobby from his from his masters and dobby is a free elf. then in the 4th book harry meets another house elf who knows dobby and harry meets dobby again at Hogwarts were dobby gets a job in the kitchens and helps harry in the second task of the triwizard tournament. then in the 5th book dobby helps harry find the room of requirement where they can meet for dumbledores army. then in the 7th book dobby is the most amazing hero that rescues harry Ron Hermione grip hook ollivander and Luna from malfoy manor and trys to bring them to shell cottage but just seconds before dobby apparates out of malfoy manor Bellatrix throws her knife at them and it hits dobby. so sadly he dies. it was sooooooo sad. far well to our cutest hero;(

Percy Weasley

Percy Weasley was head boy for Gryfindor at Hogwarts. He always thought he was the best, and in charge of everything. Percy had a girl friend and she was head girl for Hufflepuff. Percy had 5 brothers and 1 sister, Ginny. They are all red heads.

The Deathly Hollows

There were once three brothers who were traveling along a lonely, winding road at twilight. in time, the brothers reached a river too deep to wade through and too dangerous to swim across. however, these brothers were learned in the magical arts, and so they simply waved their wands and made a bridge appear across the treacherous water. they were halfway across it when they found there path blocked by a hooded figure. and Death spoke to them. he was angry that we had been cheated out of three victims, for travelers usually drowned in the river. but death was cunning. he pretended to congratulate the three brothers upon their magic, and said that each had earned a prize for having been clever enough to evade him. so the oldest brother, who was a combative man, asked for a wand more powerful than any in existence: a wand that must always win duels for its owner, a wand worthy of a wizard who conquered death! so death crossed to an elder tree on the banks of the river, fashioned a wand from a branch that hung there, and gave it to the oldest brother. the second brother, who was an arrogant man, decided that he wanted to humiliate death still further, and asked for the power to recall others from the death. so death picked up a stone from the riverbank and gave it to the second brother, and told him that the stone would have power to bring back the dead. and then death asked the third and youngest brother what he would like. the youngest brother was the humblest and also the wisest of the brothers, and he did not trust death. so he asked for something that would enable him to go forth from that place without being followed by death. and death, most unwillingly, handed over his own cloak of invisibility. then death stood aside and allowed the three brothers to continue on their way. and they did so, talking with the wonder of the adventure they had had, and admiring deaths gifts. in due course the brothers separated, each  for his own destination. the first brother traveled on for a week or more, and reaching a distant village, sought out a fellow wizard with whom he had a quarrel. naturally, with the elder wand as his weapon, he could not fail to win the duel that followed. leaving his enemy dead upon the floor, the oldest brother proceeded to an inn, where boasted loudly of the powerful wand he had snatched from death himself, and how it made him invincible. that very night, another wizard crept upon the oldest brother as he lay, wine-sodden, upon his bed. the thief took the wand and, for good measure, silt the oldest brothers throat. and so death took the first brother for his own. meanwhile, the second brother journeyed to his own home, where he lived alone. here he took out the stone that had the power to recall the dead, and turned it thrice in his hand. to his amazement and his delight, the figure of the girl he had once hoped to marry, before her untimely death, appeared at once before him. yet she was sad and cold, separated from him as by a veil. though she had returned to the mortal world, she did not truly belong there and suffered. finally the second brother, driven mad with hopeless longing, killed himself so as truly to join her. and so death took the second brother for his own. but though death searched for the third brother for many years, he was never able to find him. it was only when he had attained a great age that the youngest brother finally took off the cloak of invisibility and gave it to his son. and then he greeted death as an on old friend, and went with him gladly, as equals, they departed this life.

the irony is that a curious legend has grown up around this story, which precisely contradicts the message of the original. this legend holds that the gifts death gives the brothers are genuine objects that exist in the real world. the legend goes further: if any person becomes the rightful owner of all three, then he will be become 'master of death', which has usually been understood to mean that they will be invulnerable, even immortal. true invisibility cloaks, though rare, exist in the world; however, the story makes it clear that deaths cloak is of a uniquely durable nature. either the third brothers descendants do not know where their cloak came from, or they know, and are determined to show their ancestors wisdom by not trumpeting the fact.
Naturally enough, the stone has never been found either. it remains incapable to raising the dead, and there is every reason to suppose that this will never happen. vilesubstitutions have, of course, been attempted by dark wizards, who have created inferior. what is more, the story is quite explicit about the fact that the second brothers lost love has not really returned from the dead. she has been sent by death to lure the second brother into deaths clutches, and is therefore cold, remote, tantalizing both present and absent.
That leaves us with the wand, and here the obstinate believes in the story's hidden message have at least some historical evidence to back up their wild claims. for it is the case that wizards down the ages have claimed to possess a wand more powerful than the ordinary, even an 'unbeatable' wand. some of these wizards have gone so far as to claim that their wand is made of elder, like the wand supposedly made by death. such wands have been given many names, among them the ' wand of destiny' and the ' deathstick'.

The Half-Blood Prince

the half-blood prince is someone you'll never guess. when harry finds a potions book written in my the mysterious half-blood prince filled with amazing potions tips that got him perfect scores in that class, and some spells the half-blood prince invented himself. harry keeps the potions book and replaces it with a new copy so he can keep getting good potions grades. one day he sees a spell 'sectemsempra' and he wonders what it does. he keeps quiet about it and doesn't try it out until Draco malfoy and him have a duel in the bathroom harry tries out the spell and its terrible. it leaves huge gashes on the person and there was blood everywhere. snape comes to try and mend Draco's cuts and asks harry to get all his school books and bring them to him. he cant show snape the potions book so he asks Ron for his potions book and hides his in the room of requirement.

Order of the Pheonix

the order of the pheonix is a group of people who want to fight against voldemort. Albus Dumbledore statred it and he was secret keeper of the headquarters, number 12 grimauld place. it was a house only wizards could see because it was in between two muggle homes. it was sirius's old home and after he became owner of it because he was the last living decendant of the Black family, he lent it to Dumbledore for headquarters.

Goblet of Fire

the Goblet of Fire is the impartial judge that chooses the champion from each school for the triwizard tournament. any one who wants a chance to be a champion writes there name and school on a piece of parchment and puts it in the goblet. then when the day comes for choosing the champions the flames in the goblet will turn red and shoot out one of the pieces of parchment from each school and that will be there champion.

Remus Lupin

Remus Lupin is a teacher that starts out at Hogwarts as the defense against the ark arts teacher for there 3rd year. He helps Harry learn a new spell that saves him from his fear of dementors. Lupin is a wearwolf and every full moon he turns into a wearwolf, so Snape made him a potion to control himself and not hurt anyone. Lupin is our one of many favorite characters and we are glad to read about him. he is in other books too because he is in the order of the pheonix. and its really sad when he ends up dying in the war in the last book like many others;(

Azkaban

Azkaban is the wizard prison in which the darkest and most dangerous wizards are imprisonded. it is a triangular building set upon an island where the waves crash upon the island and fierce winds whip through the air, that making it a perfect place to hold evil wizards. dementors, foul soul sucking hooded creatures guard the prison. they have the ability to suck your soul out and youll be worse than dead. its called the dementors kiss. most wizards go crazy in azkaban, that showing the dementors are doin there job.

Chamber of Secrets

Hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago by the four greatest wizards and witches of the age. the four school houses are names after them: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. they built the castle together, far from prying muggle eyes, for it was an age when magic was feared by common people, and witches and wizards suffered much persecution. for a few years, the founders worked in harmony together, seeking out youngsters who showed signs of magic and bringing them to the castle to be educated. but then disagreements sprang up between them. a rift began to grow between Slytherin and the otheres. Slytherin wished to be more selective about the students admitted to Hogwarts. he believed that magical learning should be kept within all-magic families. he disliked taking studnts of muggle parentage, believing them to be untrustworthy. after a while, there was a serious argument on the subject between Slytherin and Gryiffindor, and Slytherin left the school. reliable historical sources tell us this much, but these honest facts have been obscured by the fanciful legand of the Chamber of Secrets. the story goes that Slytherin had built a hidden chamber in the castle, of which the other founders knew nothing. Slytherin, according to the legand, sealed the Chamber of Secrets so that none would be able to open it until his own true heir arrived at the school. ther heir alone would be able to unseal the Chamber of Secrets, unleash the horror wihin, and use it to purge the school of all those who were unworthy to study magic.

The Sorcerers Stone

the sorcerers stone is a stone that if you have it in your posession you can not die. voldemort tries to retrive the stone but his attempt fails, partly because he dosnt even have a human body. the sorcerers stone made by Nicolas Flamel. he and his wife had it and lived to be very old until nicolas and albus decided that it would be best to destroy the stone so voldemort cant get it.

Severus Snape

Severus snape seems like an evil character from the very start. from the moment he first looks at harry in his first year it just seems like snape is evil. from everything they say about him in the books and movies you can say snape is not a good guy. but it turns out you were wrong the first moment you think that.  throughout the whole series you are being tricked into thinking snape is following voldemort and dumbldore shouldnt trust him. but dumbldore has a reason for trusting him and that is snape made a promise to dumbldore and he keeps it every single second he lives uncluding the moment he kills dumbldore. youll never believe how important snape is. severus snape is NOT who he appears to be.

Horcruxes

a horcrux is an object where a wizard is storing a part of the soul. they split the soul in two parts and one half stays in there body the other half would reside in an object of there choice. if someone attempts to kill there body they will not be dead because they still have part of there soul hidden somewhere else and no one has killed that part of them yet. if you wish to kill a person with a horcrux you must destroy the object in which they have placed there soul. the only thing that can kill a horcrux is a basalisk fang, a goblin made sword or weapon, and fiend fire. once you destroy the horcrux then you can kill the person and they will be dead. this is what voldemort has done. but instead of split into two, he split it into 6 pieces. so whatever part of the soul that is still in voldemort himself is very little. and harry ron and hermione are going out to find these horcruxes and destroy them so voldemort can be killed.

Fred & George Weasley

Fred and George are Ron's brothers. They like to pull pranks on other people and are to twins that get into a lot of trouble. They found the Marduars map and used it in further life to get to things they couldn't get to and places they couldn't go to. They have made candies and wanted to make a profit off them. They are important characters that show up in books a lot sometimes funny, but yet unbelievable. they also open there own joke shop in diagon alley.

Rubeus Hagrid

Rubeus Hagrid is the man who brought Harry to the Dursleys. Hagrid teaches care of magical creatures class at hogwarts. Hagrid lives in a hut on the hogwarts grounds. he used to be a student there, but he got expelled in his third year for a crime he did not commit. hagrid is half-giant but is still really sweet and friendly. he was harrys friend since the day he met him.

Albus Dumbldore

Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumblodore is probly one of the most important characters in the books. He is headmaster at Hogwarts school. He has a very long beard. Dumbldore knows everything about the castle he knows what is going on any time. He is a very good man but unfortunnatly he dies in the 6th book and youll never guess who kills him. he was born and grew up in godrics hollow, the birthplace of harry potter. hes a very kind man and a very skilled and intellegant wizard. he even guides harry to make a life or death decision when he himslef is dead!

Quidditch

 Quidditch is a sport played on flying broomstick. there is one ball about the size of a soccer ball called the quaffle. the quaffle is the ball that the players try and shoot through one of 3 hoops on the other teams side. then there are two bludgers that fly around and try to hit people. and then theres the golden snitch. its really fast and hard to catch. there are 7 players on a team, 3 chasers that throw the quaffle in the hoops and score points, 2 beaters that get clubs to hit the bludgers toward the other teams players, 1 keeper that defends the goal posts and 1 seeker that catches the snitch and end the game. whoevers teams seeker catches the snitch gets 150 points and usually wins the game.

Deathly Hollows movie Part 1

this is the best movie ive ever seen. of all time. it was sad and scary and at some parts, gory. some parts were really graphic like when ron got splinched there was a lot of blood so i closed my eyes ;) i loved how they ended the first part with voldemort having the elder wand on an abandoned island and sparks shooting from the wand. and then its over. it was really intense i could feel my heart racing at the parts when they were wand fighting or being chased. and dobbys death was really sad. and at malfoy manor i got really scared because i knew what was going to happen there. and in godrics hollow harry and hermione put a wreath on harrys parents grave in a cemetary and hermione turns her head and whispers to harry ' someones watching us by the church.' then you see this little old lady with her hood up it was scary. and when harry was being attacked by the snake in bathildas house was scary how it just popped up and scared the living daylight out of you. and when harry opens the horcrux locket and something pops out at ron its huge and i thought hed never kill it. the actors in the movie really got into charecter so i felt like  i was right there watching everything happen it was an awesome movie.

Half-Blood Prince movie

when harry finds an old potions book that used to belong to the mysterious half-blood prince he gets suspicious. an old professor comes out off retirement and teaches potions, professor Horace Slughorn. and professor Snape finally gets his glory by becoming the defense against the dark arts teacher. dumbldore is teaching harry about tom riddle and his past and memories he has collected. dumbldore is teaching harry about the horcruxes he thinks voldemort is using. a horcrux is an object that you can store part of your soul in. dumbldore believes this is what voldemort has done and hes teaching harry how to destroy them considering its the only way to conquer voldemort. he made 6 horcruxes and 2 are allready destroyed, the gaunt ring(theres a huge story to this any time they mention a ring listen closely) and the diary from the second book. harry must destroy them because he is the chosen one. when harry and dumbldore go looking for the next horcrux in the cave they are true wizards. when they get back dumbldore is weak and the death eaters are coming. draco malfoy corners dumbldore but youll be suprised who ends up killing dumbldore. and the horcrux dumbldore and harry retreive turns out to be a fake and who knows how to find the other 4.

Order of the Pheonix movie

 This movie was kind of sad because harry felt so terrible during most of it because no one believed him that voldemort was back. and the new defense against the dark arts teacher Dolores Umbridge, the senior undersecretary to the minister, shes honestly really evil. she thinks harry is lying about voldemort to get attention so one day during her class he says voldemort is back and she gives him detention. but this is no ordinary detention. she makes him write 'i must not tell lies' with her special quill. this special quill turns out to be carving the words in his hand and the ink is his blood. the rest of the year is terrible, as the darkness grips on the wizarding world no one believes how much danger there in. in the end the prophecy is discovered, the orb that trelawney predicted 'the one with the power to vanquish the dark lord approaches...born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies...and the dark lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the dark lord knows not...and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live we'll the other survives...the one with the power to vanquish the dark lord will be born as the seventh month dies.' it turns out the prophecy is true and...neither can live we'll the other survives.

Goblet of Fire movie

In harrys fourth year at hogwarts there is a huge traitor in the middle of everything and there doing a good job at concealing it. this year the triwizard tournament is held at hogwarts, an old tournament that hasnt been played for years because of the death poll. when one champion from each school is picked to compete, viktor krum from durmstrang, flear delacour from beuxbatons and cedric diggory from hogwarts. but an unexpected thing happens. harry potters name comes out of the goblet of fire, the impartial judge who picks the champions. everyone thinks harry entered himslef but hes scared to be a part of it! by the end the traiters plans turn out how he wanted them and voldemort takes human form again uses harrys blood which is probly the worst thing he couldve done. it affects everything and when harry comes back to tell the story no one believes voldemort id back exept ron hermione dumbldore and the weasleys.

Prisoner of Azkaban movie

It all starts when Sirius Black breaks out of Azkaban the wizard prison. Harry leaves the Dursleys and catches a night buss that takes him to the Leaky Caoldron. Dementors guard the castle to keep Harry safe from Black, because they think hes after Harry. There buck beak the hipogriff hurts Malfoy and buck beak gets send to death. Hermione and Harry go back in time and save buck beak from death and Black. Black turns out to be Harry's godfather and hes not the one who has been killing... it is Rons pet rat Peter Pettigrew. Harry gives Black buck beak and Black runs away hiding.

Chamber of Secrets movie

In this movie Harry and Ron go seaeching to find the chamber of secrets. ron must stay behind so harry gose on alone. it turns out the monster that was said to be living in the chamber was true and its a snake called a basalisk. the diary tom riddle possesed ginny with was the only thing killing ginny and keeping tom riddle alive. although he wasnt exactly alive, he was a memory. tom riddle confessed that he was lord voldemort. he fashioned a new name, a name he hoped one day every witch and wizard would fear to speak and he got his wish. harry stabbed the diary with a basalisk fang because they are posioness and as ink splattered out of the book tom riddle ceased to be a memory. this was a very odd thing that happened, that he stayed alive by the diary and that he was destroyed by destroying the diary.

Sorcerers Stone movie

this movie was cute compared to the other ones because there so young. and there not up to as much bad or evil as in the other ones. the sorcerers stone is kind of like a stone of life, if you have it in your possesion you cant die. voldemort has no human body so hes trying to get the stone to take human form again. harry, ron and hermione find out hes looking for it and its in hogwarts. harry ron and hermione try to save the stone and go searching for who the thief is. its not who you think is in the middle of things.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

This was my favorite book of all of them. its my favorite book of all time out of every book ive ever read. its so different from the other books because this one is so dark and full of dark magic and dark wizards. and the ministry turns against harry and the people on his side. so many people are dying and someone needs to do something. dumbldore left harry in charge to finish off what he started, the destroying of the horcruxes. harry, ron, and hermione set out on a mission to find the horcruxes and destroy  them and eventualy, voldemort. there is so many parts in this book wherer you honestly think harry is gone theres no way he can get out of this one, youll be suprised by who gets them out of therer scariest times. as the three friends go off camping in forests searching for horcruxes most of the book other things are happening in the wizarding world. they must work fast to save the wizarding world. youll be really suprised by all the sacrifice that needs to be made. as finaly we all knew would be coming, the war begens. the acual war where everyone is fighting and dying. by the end of this book i couldnt put it down for anything. once you get to the chapter 'the final hiding place' theres no way you can stop reading. this war and book anwsers every question youve had since the first page of the sorcerers stone.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

I honestly loved this book. i couldnt put it down. theres so much suspense and the dark grip of voldemort and his followers is tightening on the wizarding world. at any parts with dumbldore in them are awesome. dumbldore is awesome in this book like during his lessons with harry when hes teaching him about memories and tom riddles past its very entertaining because you just want to know more! and at the end its awesome. when harry and dumbldore go to the cave to retrieve the horcrux, one of many parts of voldemorts soul that he split in parts is hidden, when they go looking for it they both seem like real wizards epsecialy dumbldore he is amazing in the cave. and when dumbldore dies its very shocking who kills him. and listen closley for all of those details help in the final finale of the harry potter phenomonon.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

This book was really cool. this is a HUGE trick. well you think one of the best good guys is protecting harry there is a traiter in the midst! and not who you would have guessed. when the triwizard tournament is held at hogwarts someone is in the middle of things starting trouble. the end of this book really is the reason there is 3 more books. the dark lord is risin from his near death and has taken human form again. this is obviously a HUGE sign here comes another war!!! its really quite graphic in your mind for a book i could see everything like a movie in my head. and every single times throughout this book you think oh my gosh harry isnt going to make it! someone is always there to save the day!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

This book talks about how Harry Ron and Hermione attend their 2nd year at Hogwarts. Once Harry starts hearing whispers in his head. They start worrying. On the wall it says "The chamber will open tonight" and all they think about is "what does that meen"? Ron's sister Ginny gets taken away to the chamber because she was taking to Tom Riddle in a diary and doesnt return so Harry goes searching.... Ron and Harry and Tom Riddle get down there while Tom Ridddle falls into a deep sleep Ron stays behind and Harry finds Ginny dieing by a snake. A huge snake. Harry defeats the snake and rescues Ginny .Tom Riddle dies and the diary gets desstroyed .He takes Ginny up to the castle and they both get cured there. I think so far this was my favorite book and i am anxious to read about more of Harry Ron and Hermione's andventures.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

This book was pretty cool. it tricks you into believeing one thing well its completely wrong and you fing out at the end of the book you were tricked. i love how they put in so much detail to this trick and u end up finding out one of the worst bad guys is one of the best good guys! and in the end another amazing explination for the suspense through out the book. a character from the very start of the series turns out to be a villian and the reason harrys parents are dead! but its not who you think it is. we were very suprised by who had betrayed them. and we loved that harry and hermione got a chance to fix eveything. the end was full of suprise you were waiting for from the start.

Harry Potter and the Sorcere's Stone

Harry Potter and the Sorcere's Stone is about when Harry is born and his parents (James and Lilly Potter) get killed by the evil Lord Voldemort. Harry is givin to his aunt Petunia and uncle Vernon and cousin Dudly. They are very mean to Harry and he lives under the stairs. They once take him to the museum and a cobra snake gets lost. but what Harry dosnt know is hes a wizard with magical powers. The glass open and Dudly walks in and gets traped inside. Harry does not get food for a week. Letters start coming to Harry, but uncle Vernon does not let him see them. Intill one day magical owls come during the day and cover the Dursley's whole house so they move out on to a house on an island where vernon thinks the letters can not find them there. One day when everyone is sleeping a big man knoks down their door to see Harry. He tells him all about how he is a wizard and more about his parents. The big man (Rubeus Hagrid) gives Harry the letter that uncle Vernon did not let him see. It says that Harry is invited to attend school at Hogwarts. Harry accepts the invitation and goes to London with Hagrid to get Harry's books. He returns back to the Durleys. He takes a train called the Hogwarts Express and ther he meets Ron and Hermione they become friends. They arive at Hogwarts and get sorted into house all three of the friends go into Gryfindor. there first adventure is nothing compared to whats coming in there future. in the end harry is considered a hero in his first year at hogwarts school of whitchcraft and wizardry. they are awarded extra house points and win the house cup!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

This book was the longest of all the harry potter books in the series. it held our intrest most of the time well some parts were a little slow. but listening to all the details can most of the time help later on in the book or in the series. and even if it was a little slow we still couldnt put it down! some parts of the books made me feel like i was right there watching everything happen. and in the end how the prochecy is discoverd anwsers many unanwsered questions. it explains parts from previes books like why voldemort wanted to kill harry in the first place. i also was sad at sirius's death. the end of this book kind of leaves you hanging because the discovery of the prochecy leads to many new questions you want anwsered. but by the time you finish the series your questions are anwsered.
